Understanding you role
Roles
There are various different roles while producing a film, such as :
- Director
- Producer
- Camera operator
- Cinematographer
- Sound mixer
- Editor
My role in the production of this opening scene is of the camerawoman.
Directors, editors, and producers rely on cameramen's expertise and understanding to visually deliver "story." Depending on the environment and tasks performed, i may alternatively be referred to as camera operator or videographer. To capture the most artistic shots, icollaborate with the director, the performers, and other experts.
The cinematographer, often known as the film cameraman, decides how each shot will be recorded on film and all the different elements that go into recording a shot. The cameraperson decides what lenses and film to use for each picture, how to frame the shot optimally, what angle to shoot from, and how to set up the equipment for a shot while working closely with the director. Together with the actors, costume designers, and other crew members, the cameraperson must coordinate their respective job assignments.
